Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-19 ·
Applies to: all external learners registering for IGS programs
through the learners portal.
This policy explains when an enrollment may be cancelled and how refunds are
calculated. It should be read together with the
Payment & Access Policy,
which defines the terms used below.
1. Cancellation Charge
- 1.1. A cancellation charge equal to 20% of the program's Net Price is retained by IGS on any learner-initiated cancellation.
- 1.2. This 20% comprises the non-refundable 10% deposit plus an additional 10% cancellation charge. The deposit is non-refundable once an enrollment has been created, regardless of when a cancellation request is made.
2. Cancellation by the Learner
- 2.1. A learner may request to cancel an enrollment at any time by contacting IGS through the Contact Us page or a support ticket.
- 2.2. If the cancellation request is made before the second session of the offering has started, the learner is refunded the total amount they have paid, less the 20% cancellation charge described in section 1 (calculated as 20% of the Net Price). A refund is never negative: where the cancellation charge equals or exceeds the amount paid, no refund is due and no further amount is owed.
- 2.3. No refund is issued once the second session of the offering has started. The enrollment may still be cancelled, but no payments are returned.
- 2.4. Discount vouchers have no cash value and are never refunded.
3. Cancellation by IGS
- 3.1. If IGS cancels an offering before it concludes, the affected learner receives a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit, or may choose to transfer to another scheduled offering at no additional charge.
4. Processing
- 4.1. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed, to the original payment method where possible.
- 4.2. Refund amounts are calculated from the payments recorded in IGS's records at the time the cancellation is confirmed.
5. Modification of This Policy
IGS may revise this policy from time to time. The version in effect at the
time of a learner's enrollment governs that enrollment unless the learner is
notified in writing of a change.
